PoolTux Saltwater system for above ground pools is a great way to reduce chemicals costs and maintenance of your swimming pool. This system only requires a low concentration of salt in the pool water to automatically generate sanitizer for your pool water. This is achieved by converting the salt within the pool into free chlorine which kills bacteria and algae. Because chlorine will revert back to salt after killing the bacteria, these reactions will continuously recycle virtually eliminating the need to add additional sanitizing chemicals to your pool. The only time you may need to add more salt to the pool is when water is replenished due to back washing, draining, or splashing or rain.
